I have been very fortunate to have studied in Rennes, France during my senior year in high school and in Strasbourg, France my junior year in college. This began my life-long passion for exploring other countries and cultures. I literally jumped at any opportunity that allowed me to travel! Since my early years, I have worked and travelled throughout Europe, Africa, Asia and South America in various capacities that have included a graduate internship with the U.S. Department of State at the U.S. Embassy in Bujumbura, Burundi, a peacekeeping mission to the Republic of North Macedonia followed by a deployment to Bosnia with the U.S. Army, co-leading a community needs assessment for an international mining company in Argentina, as well as writing special interest reports for The Washington Times in Africa, Europe and Asia
